Reflex therapy is a complex of techniques, which are based on the application for therapeutic purposes of various physical factors of influence on certain point areas of the body surface (acupuncture points).
The effectiveness of reflexology depends on carefully determining the place (microzone) of the highest concentration of common receptor devices of the skin and the corresponding segments of the associated internal organs and muscles. Such areas of the skin are Zakharyin-Ged's hyperesthesia zones, already known in medicine, the so-called pain and diagnostic points of Erb, Cornelius, Dahl and others.
An important task is to choose a rational method and an adequate method of influencing points. Reflexology is used not only as an independent treatment, but also in combination with other therapies. Reflexology is a powerful therapeutic tool in the system of rehabilitation of patients. The following reflex therapy methods are used in the sanatorium: acupuncture, superficial reflexotherapy, vacuum reflexotherapy, local decompression according to R.V. Belede, electro-acupuncture reflexology (devices AKSON-02, STIMUL, DELTA-102).
Indications for use
Reflexology is often used for entsilofapatii, neurosis, headaches, vegetative dystonia syndrome, neuritis and depression.
Contraindications
This procedure is contraindicated in Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, the effects of spinal cord and brain injuries, mental disorders, epilepsy and oncopathology of the nervous system.
