Application of mud or in other words, compact mud therapy is a procedure in which the beneficial properties of mud occur only on a certain part of the body.
Sulphide silt mud is used for treatment. This type of mud is sometimes referred to as “primary”, or “proper mud”. Under the influence of mud, activation of the antioxidant system of the body is noted.
The duration of the procedure is 20 minutes. The number for the course of 6-10 procedures. At the end of the procedure, the mud stain will be removed simply by wiping the body with a wet wipe with mineral water and then a dry towel. The patient takes a shower with warm water, then rests for 15 -20 minutes.
This procedure is effective in most diseases of the musculoskeletal and nervous system, diseases of the cardiovascular system, diseases of the digestive system, diseases of the liver and biliary tract, diseases of the respiratory system, diseases associated with metabolic disorders, diseases of the male and female genital organs, as well as skin diseases.
The main contraindication for the application of this procedure is the violation of the integrity of the skin at the place of imposition of dirt.
